The Starfish Project

An old man, walking the beach at dawn, noticed a young man ahead of him picking up starfish and flinging them into the sea.
The old man exclaimed, 'But the beach goes on for miles and miles, and there are millions of starfish. How can your effort make any difference?'
The young man looked at the starfish in his hand and then threw it to safety in the waves, and said, 'It makes a difference to this one!'

Starfish offers a listening ear for those suffering from: Drug abuse, Alcohol abuse, Solvent abuse, Homelessness, Anxiety, Marginalisation, Debt, Loneliness, Relationship problems, Mental illness/Depression, Hopelessness, Low self esteem, Unemployment, etc...
The Starfish Project currently occurs in three locations in the Tamworth area: Town centre, Leyfields and Stoneydelph.

Visitors receive free refreshments, with churches throughout Tamworth regularly donating groceries or making monetary donations to purchase perishables.
All information on visitors is kept strictly confidential and any photographs of visitors which appear on this site are printed with their permission.
